The Vision Behind it all

We were founded by Howard Winklevoss in 2003. Mr. Winklevoss is passionate about expanding the sport of rowing.

Entrepreneur Howard Winklevoss is the founder of RowAmerica, an organization dedicated to the advancement of the sport. Watching his twin sons become dedicated and skilled rowers at the Saugatuck Rowing Association (SRA) in Westport, CT, inspired Winklevoss greatly and he immediately fell in love with the sport. In 1997, he started a rowing program at their high school in Greenwich, CT so other students could learn to row.

Our Commitment

Our 50,000 sqft manufacturing facility is located in Bridgeport, CT Our dock systems have been installed throughout the United States. The Schuylkill River, Potomac River, and Charles River are some of the most well-known locations. Our launches offer unparalleled stability along with the best acceleration, speed, and tight-turning radius on the market.
